Rule Hit Counts (Devices)


ExtremeControl enables you to manage ACL rules on ExtremeXOS/Switch Engine devices on which version 30.5 or later is installed. ExtremeXOS/Switch Enginedevices on which versions 30.5 or later are installed support ACL data via REST.

The Rule Hit Counts tab displays the number of packets that matched each ACE by the traffic description configured on the device you select on the Policy > Devices / Port Groups > Devices tab.

Select the Refresh () button to reload the data from the selected device. The table includes the following columns:

Roles/ACE
Displays the roles and ACEs configured for the device.
Traffic Description
Displays the match conditions configured on the device for a given ACE.
Actions
Displays the actions that are performed by the device when the traffic description matches a given ACE.
Hit Count
Displays the number of packets that matched each ACE by the traffic description configured on the device. Each role displays the total hit count of all ACEs configured for the role.
 NOTES:
  • The Rule Hit Count displays only when a single device is selected in the Policy > Devices / Port Groups > Devices tree
  • The Rule Hit Count displays only when a supporting device is selected in the Policy > Devices / Port Groups > Devices tree.
  • The selected device must be in ACL Rule mode for Hit Count data to display.
